Vitamin foods are those foods which contain a diverse array of necessary vitamins. A vitamin acts as an internal superhero, using speed and energy-efficient means to enable chemical reactions inside the body. With vitamin deficiencies, the simple bodily tasks cannot function properly, allowing all kinds of disease. Sounds all too familiar these days, right? Did you know that we can cause our own vitamin deficiencies and often do?

Our bodies do not produce all the vitamins required, so we need to get them from our food and beverage choices. Do you get the proper variety of vitamins? What source do your vitamins come from - natural or synthetic?

Vitamin Foods

Most people may not have an immediate answer for either question. Some will say "I take multivitamins every day", or ask "Well, how many vitamins are there?" Here is a list:

Vitamin A

This vitamin is important for the eyes. Many people are concerned about driving during low-light conditions, and Vitamin A aids that process. Besides low light increases, the colors we see have a more vibrant and distinguishable appearance with plenty of quality Vitamin A. Vitamin A is fat-soluble, meaning it can remain in the fatty tissue or liver until the body calls upon it.

Vitamin B

There are several B vitamins: B1(Thiamin), B2(Riboflavin), B6(Pyridoxine), B12(Cobalamine), folic acid, niacin, pantothenic acid and biotin. The B vitamins have several important roles in creating energy for the body and oxygen-carrying red blood cells. The B vitamins are water-soluble and must be replenished regularly.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C keeps bodily tissues healthy like your muscles. Remember, your heart is a muscle! Vitamin C aids in preventing infection, and provides faster healing for scrapes and cuts. Vitamin C is water-soluble and should be re-stocked with proper eating habits. Beware of the juices promising 100% vitamin C, as their source is

Vitamin D

Commonly called the "sunshine vitamin", this vitamin is helpful in calcium absorption, strengthening bones and teeth, and some studies show elevated cardiovascular health when activated vitamin D is in muscles of the heart. This vitamin is fat-soluble and can be somewhat produced from ultraviolet radiation reactions on the skin.

Vitamin E

Your eyes, skin, liver, lungs and red blood cells rely on this vitamin. The formation of blood cells utilize vitamin E. Healthy skin also needs a portion of vitamin E to protect it from polluted air which our skin breaths. Vitamin E protects skin against UV light and free radicals which damage cells. This vitamin is fat-soluble.

Vitamin K1

Sometimes a blood clot is necessary! When you get a scrape and start bleeding, vitamin K comes to your rescue by enabling some blood cells to stick to the others and seal the wound at the surface. It's a good thing! Your body provides protection against infection by doing this as well. This vitamin is fat-soluble and some can be created by bacteria inside our intestines.

Vitamin K2

Discovered by Weston Price, previously named Activator X and Prime Factor, but now called Vitamin K2, this fat-soluble nutrient is a major contributor to mineral absorption.

Vitamin P

This is a relatively new category called bioflavonoids or flavonoids. Some hesitate using the term "vitamin", however others call it an important contributor to the vitamin class for healthy cell capillaries and cell waste removal.

Vitamin Q

CoQ10 or Coenzyme Q10 is in every cell of our body and is responsible for energy production and plays a large part in preventing the walls of the heart to become stiff. That can then lead to heart failure from increased heart rate and blood pressure. Where CoQ10 was used in treatments of heart failure patients, there was a substantial improvement. Vitamin Q is fat-soluble and is best absorbed with meals with high content of fat.

Real Nutrition comes from Live Whole Foods

It is a wholly agreed fact - the best source of vitamins is from unprocessed and unrefined whole foods. If the foods are alive and fresh, picked and eaten within 72 hours from the vine, all forms of vitamins, trace minerals, bioflavonoids, phytonutrients and enzymes are found in their natural synergistic environment. Most people do not have access to live foods because of this time constraint or the inability to acquire. Their alternative is to find (inorganic) vitamins in most multivitamins (consisting of mostly synthetic vitamins) which do not benefit the body like those from live, whole foods.

Nuriche provides LiVE, which is a great-tasting, live whole food in supplement form. Nuriche uses only naturally-grown and organic foods, then keeps them alive by removing the factors which deteriorate the live enzymes such as moisture, exposure to extreme temperature, and sunlight through poor packaging. With this knowledge, take action to get the excellent nutrient-dense source of live whole foods that will consistently provide the best of nature, available through Nuriche!
